(See pics here)
Learn how to manipulate your stitches to make a wingspan inspired scarf or short shawl. Whether you are into knit or crochet you can make a similar project - it's all about the numbers. For the crochet it's all about changing the height of stitches with a spot of increasing and decreasing. For the knit we focus on short row shaping, casting on and casting off to make the zig zag edge. We will use Rowan Felted Tweed.
Please note: This workshop is suitable for those who can knit & purl with ease and can work basic crochet stitches. Please refer to terms and conditions.
September 19th and 20th
Brioche knitting rows and rounds £130
This workshop is all about exploring the world of tuck stitches or brioche knitting. It's all about slipping stitches and carrying yarn over the top of the needle. We will work through a few sample swatches to get to grips with the techniques used, then cast on to create your own cowl design.
Please note: This workshop is suitable for those who can knit & purl with ease. Please refer to terms and conditions.
October 10th and 11th
Faroe Lace Shawl £130
Learn how easy it can be to create an elegant lace pattern. This workshop is designed to take you through the basics. On the day we will work from a graph and look at the different techniques used in lace knitting to make a Faroe Shawl. Please note: This workshop is suitable for those can knit & purl with ease. Please refer to terms and conditions.
October 17th and 18th
Do the Twist £130
Take a new look at traditional cables on a cushion and give them an alternative feel with this textured panel. Starting from the outer edge we will be decreasing at the same time as working all those twists to give the illusion of working in the round. This workshop is suitable for those can knit & purl with ease. Please refer to terms and conditions.
