Pink Windy this week!

Look at Craicnyarn's window and there's a great selection of pinks in there - with some pattern ideas to inspire. The Blossom's out to match. I have new sock wool - hand dyed at Strathearn Fleece and Fibre in their hall mark fabby colour ways and Knitting Goddess wool and mohair if you can't bear man -made. I can't lie using pure bfl for socks gives gorgeous socks but after all that beautiful work I can't bear the thought of them wearing through so quickly so a bit of the old nylon OR mohair gives it just that bit of strength.

On my needles this week (too many things!) Kate Davies Carbeth cardigan is working up in Baa Ram Ewe Chunky, I have boot socks in Uist wool, a pair of mitts in Debbie Bliss Fine Donegal, and a couple of other bits and pieces. Trying not to look at Carbeth Swan Dance although I've picked out the New Lanark chunky and I mean to mix it with D Bliss Angel -too much to inspire out there.

One of my lovely customers had a fantastic cowl on - a bit like a sampler of stitches - aha, thinks me a stash buster of an idea. I visited a lovely wool shop in Yorkshire yesterday - 'Beckside Yarns' at Clapham and HAD to acquire some of her absolutely dreamy wool...

Think I'll gather all my odd skeins of beauty and knit it up free style - a nice cardi....
